  1. What services do you offer?

    • ​Evaluation - During an evaluation, I come to the location most conducive to witnessing the dog's true behavior. Evaluations are typically used for guidance if a problem arises; the owner is given instructions on how to progress the dog at home or what training would be beneficial through our services. 

    • Guided Training - The owner, dog and trainer meet once per week to progress their dog. Typically used for general obedience and puppies. 

    • Board and Train - Your dog stays at our location and receives daily training.

    • Reunification - After the dog has completed their training, the trainer will spend time going over learned behaviors with owners. A follow pup visit will be scheduled to ensure that the learned behaviors are still be exhibited. 

  2. What types of dogs do you work with?

    • I work with any dog with any issue. ​

  3. Will my dog be the only one there for training?

    • Typically no, I have multiple kennel spaces available. I group the dogs based on their behaviors and characteristics. ​

  4. Do you have flexible payment options?

    • Yes, for board and train packages a 10% payment is required to reserve your kennel space. After the deposit, you are welcome to break up payments a needed until the halfway point of the board and train program. ​Guided training payments can be broken up per session or can be pain in advance. All evaluations must be paid prior to or upon completion. 

  5. What is needed before Board and Train begins?

    • Up to date on vaccinations, intake form completed and the 10% deposit completed. ​

  6. What do I send with my dog for the Board and Train?

    • Food for the duration of training, a collar with an ID tag and any toys the dog prefers. ​

  7. What type of training methods are used? 

    • All dogs are trained using a combination of positive and negative reinforcement. The training tools and methods used are a case by case basis; based on how the dog learns best. ​

  8. Where does my dog sleep?

    • The dog sleeps in their assigned crate during their stay. ​

  9. Do I work with aggressive dogs?

    • Yes, typically I work with the owner and the dog using guided training because the behavior  is usually trigger specific. ​

  10. Can I visit my dog during Board and Train?

    • Yes, when availability permits however, during your visit you will participate in the dog's training. ​

  11. What if I have questions during or after training?

    • You are always welcome to call for guidance. ​

  12. What if my dog has previous training?

    • Previous training or no training, any dog is accepted into our training program. ​

  13. What if my dog needs medical attention during training?

    • You will be notified and your dog will be treated by a veterinary professional. ​

  14. What will my dog learn during training?

    • Clear communication through marker training such as "clicker" training​

    • Loose leash walking

    • Reliable recall

    • House manners

    • Crate training

    • Basic obedience commands

    • Impulse control

  15. Who is my dog's trainer?

    • My name is Alton Davis and progressing dogs in my passion. I've spent the past 12 years handling and training dogs for the military. Department of Defense, law enforcement and every day pet owners. ​
